AT&T Goal of the Week update: Another runaway lead for Seattle Sounders' Obafemi Martins

GOTW update: Oba or the field? Could be a close call

AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 7

Obafemi Martins led Major League Soccer in AT&T Goal of the Week awards last season, and he's rapidly building a run doing so for a second year running.

With one day left to vote, the Seattle Sounders star is running away with the Week 7 GOTW race, his latest golazo holding nearly two-thirds of all ballots cast as of Thursday morning.

Martins' glittering game-clincher against the Colorado Rapids holds 63.47 percent of the vote, with Sebastian Giovinco's fine strike sitting in a distant second place with 14.86 percent. Federico Higuaín occupies third place with 11.75 percent, with Lamar Neagle and Mehdi Ballouchy bringing up the rear at 6.6 percent and 3.32 percent, respectively.

It'll take some doing for anyone to catch Martins, but there's still time to make your voice heard on this race. Vote now, and the winner will be announced on Friday based off your online votes. Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays.
