AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 29

The Seattle Sounders are on the rise, and so is Gonzalo Pineda’s Goal of the Week push.

His smooth left-footed strike in the Sounders’ 3-0 win over rivals Vancouver Whitecaps is leading the way in voting for Week 29 honors, having garnered 37.33 percent of the vote as of Thursday afternoon.

Over on the other coast, New York Red Bulls’ Mike Grella isn’t far behind for his midweek one-timer against the New England Revolution with 23.09 percent. Grella’s teammate Felipe is running in third place for his long-distance bomb against the Portland Timbers (19.45 percent).

Sporting Kansas City’s Dom Dwyer (13.96 percent) and New York City FC’s Ned Grabavoy (6.17 percent) round out the voting.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here.
