Chicago Fire FC have signed veteran MLS goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, the club announced Thursday.

Shuttleworth, 32, has made 185 appearances in his MLS career between time with the New England Revolution and Minnesota United. He spent 2019 with USL Championship side Sacramento Republic FC.

“Bobby is a true professional and a very experienced goalkeeper,” head coach Raphael Wicky said in a club statement. “His experience and knowledge of MLS will be very valuable for our team. I look forward to working with him.”

Shuttleworth is the club's fourth goalkeeper on the roster, behind 2019 starter Kenneth Kronholm, recently signed Connor Sparrow and 15-year-old Homegrown Gabriel Slonina.
