CHICAGO FIRE vs. REAL SALT LAKE
TOYOTA PARK, Bridgeview, Ill.
May 9, 2015 (Week 10, MLS Game #91)
3 pm ET (MLS LIVE)
Two teams aiming to make a charge up their respective tables come together when the Chicago Fire play host to Real Salt Lake on Saturday afternoon at Toyota Park. The Fire are back home after seeing a three-game winning run come to an end last weekend in a 1-0 loss at Sporting Kansas City. Real Salt Lake are looking for one of their players to hit the back of the net after their winless run was extended to five games at midweek in a scoreless draw with the LA Galaxy at Rio Tinto Stadium.
- The Fire saw their three-game winning streak put to an end Sunday, dropping a 1-0 decision at Sporting Kansas City. It was their first defeat since March 22.
- Real had their winless streak extended to four games in the 1-1 home draw with the San Jose Earthquakes in Week 9, when they scored their first goal since April 5.
- RSL won the lone meeting between the clubs a year ago, a 3-2 victory at Toyota Park that was their first victory in the series since 2010. The Fire had won one meeting in between, with three draws.
- The Fire have not won vs. RSL at Toyota Park since Aug. 1, 2009, a 1-0 victory. Real have two of the last four meetings in Bridgeview since, with two draws. RSL’s last home win vs. the Fire came Sept. 19, 2010, a 1-0 win at Rio Tinto Stadium.
