Columbus Crew SC, take a bow. You've beaten out the Boston Celtics, the University of Miami, and both the Mets and the Yankees. Okay, so it makes more sense if we clarify -- it's a ranking of logos, over on USA Today's sports blog For the Win.
While there's no real scientific method for the site's list of the top 30 American sports logos -- can there be, for something so subjective? -- MLS fans will be pleased that Columbus Crew SC cracked the top 10. Columbus' bold, yellow-and-black circular design bested other creations like the Brooklyn Nets' monochrome shield (number eight) and the New York Yankees' signature top hat/baseball/baseball bat combination (number 10).
