David Villa scores first goal for New York City FC in preseason friendly vs. St. Mirren

David Villa opened his (preseason) account with New York City FC on Tuesday in the first half of their friendly against Scottish Premier League side St. Mirren at the City Football Academy in Manchester.

The Spanish star finished a cross with a low, left-footed strike in the 333rd minute, a tidy finish that City fans undoubtedly hope to see a lot of this season.

NYCFC is playing the first of two friendly contests as part of their preseason camp in England. They’ll also face Danish side Brondby IF on Sunday.
