Playoff seeding in East

Updated as of 5:35 p.m. ET

There are two big stories to watch here:

Race for 4th seed: This seed guarantees a Round One home game. Columbus climbed over Orlando to finish third, while NYCFC remained in fifth.

Who avoids Play-In round?: The Red Bulls climbed over the Revs into sixth place, meaning they won't play in the play-in round.

Golden Boot pres. by Audi

Updated as of 8:45 p.m. ET

With 14 goals, Diego Rossi has won the 2020 MLS Golden Boot.

Behind him, there's a three-way tie for second place. Raul Ruidiaz, Gyasi Zardes and Robert Beric all scored on Decision Day to take their totals to 12 goals.

West No. 1 seed

Updated as of 8:45 p.m. ET

Sporting KC have clinched the top seed.

With a 2-0 win in the snow over Real Salt Lake, SKC get the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and homefield advantage on their potential road to MLS Cup.

The Sounders will finish second (1.77 PPG) after their 4-1 win over San Jose. Portland's 1-1 draw with LAFC puts them in third (1.70 PPG).

Playoff seeding in the West

Updated as of 8:45 p.m. ET

Outside of the shuffle among the top 3, the most compelling story revolves around the team that gets to host a Round 1 match as the No. 4 seed.

Minnesota United took care of business against FC Dallas 3-0 and clinched a home Round One playoff game. They will play the Colorado Rapids, who got a late winner against the Houston Dynamo to jump to fifth. LAFC slipped to seventh with the Rapids result and conceding a late equalizer against the Timbers.
