FC Dallas look to snap a four-match winless streak when they host Sporting Kansas City Wednesday night at Toyota Stadium.

FC Dallas (5W-4L-6D) are coming off a 2-0 Texas Derby loss to the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Stadium October 7, while Sporting (9W-5L-2D) are one point behind first-place Seattle in the West following a 2-1 win over Nashville SC.

This is the third meeting this season with FC Dallas claiming a 3-2 victory at Children's Mercy Park on Sept. 19 with Franco Jara and Johnny Russell exchanging braces and the teams playing to a 1-1 draw in Kansas City Sept. 2.

Major League Soccer postponed the FC Dallas vs. Minnesota United match following two confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among the Minnesota United player pool. The Orlando City vs. Columbus Crew match was postponed following two confirmed cases of COVID-19 among the Columbus Crew staff. Orlando City confirmed a positive test result among its first team roster earlier on Saturday.

The league said that both matches were postponed to ensure the health and safety of all players and staff and to allow for further testing and evaluation prior to travel and competition.

Sporting rallied from a first-half deficit to defeat 10-man Nashville SC 2-1 behind an equalizing goal by Gerso and a stunning Erik Hurtado winner in the 79th minute. It was SKC's third consecutive win. Hurtado's volleyed banger had to be seen to be believed. And even then it almost defied logic.

"I don't think people understand how hard that technique is and he executed it perfectly," Russell said after the match. "I said that to him at the time, I couldn't believe, to be honest, what I'd seen and I could see that tonight would probably take a little bit of something special and he more than produced that.”
