Dynamo loan new signing Bajamich back to Argentina for offseason

Mateo Bajamich - Houston Dynamo - reported transfer target

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan

The Houston Dynamo have loaned forward Mateo Bajamich to Instituto AC in Argentina until January 21, the club announced Monday. Bajamich was acquired from Instituto last month.

Bajamich, 21, has yet to make his MLS debut. The Dynam missed the playoffs and their season ended on Sunday. The move allows Bajamich to get games over the offseason. He had 10 goals and six assists in 26 games with the Argentine second tier club.

“In preparation for the 2021 season we felt this short term off season loan would benefit Mateo and our club to help him continue playing and gaining rhythm as we prepare for next season.” Dynamo Senior VP and GM Matt Jordan said in a club statement.

Bajamich joined after the club transferred Alberth Elis to Boavista. He's a highly rated attacker who can play on the wing or through the center.
