Supporters’ groups are about community, and LA Galaxy supporters, staff and social media channels are helping one of their own after a tragic loss.
Angel City Brigade member Eazy Carrillo was recently shot and killed, sparking a GoFundMe that aims to raise $15,000. The funds would go toward a funeral and supporting the family, with over $9,100 raised as of early Wednesday afternoon Eastern Time.
“The club would like to extend their condolences to the family and friends of Eazy during this difficult time,” LA wrote on their club website. “To support the Carrillo family and his final expenses, Galaxy fans have banded together to help with Eazy's funeral costs.”
Several familiar faces to Galaxy fans can be found among the list of donors. Some donors have contributed $121 each in a tribute to Section 121 of Dignity Health Sports Park, where the Angel City Brigade has made its home.
