There are perks that come with that ... like having live animals named after you.
As of today, the octopus at Kansas City's SEA LIFE Aquarium goes by "Matt Besler," as in the Sporting Kansas City center back.
“We are very excited that we can name our octopus after a person who is very involved in the Kansas City community,” said SEA LIFE marketing executive Elizabeth Mathews in a statement.
Both Besler and Besler will be hanging on Monday, January 5 (1 pm local time) at the Aquarium and apparently they'll be playing soccer together at an event designed to collect funds for the conservation of marine wildlife and the environment.
No word on how they'll avoid confusion on the name front, however.
