Coming off their first derby matchup against Inter Miami CF, Orlando City SC draw another tough opponent when they take on NYCFC in the second match of Group A play for each side on Tuesday.

NYCFC will be looking to rebound from a 1-0 loss the Philadelphia Union in their first match, and will have to deal with an Orlando side that played them tough last year and rallied to defeat Inter Miami 2-1 in the MLS Is Back Tournament opener.

The sides met three times in 2019, twice in MLS play and once in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. NYCFC got a 2-2- road draw at Exploria Stadium in the first of those matches on March 2, 2019, while the Lions were able to procure a road point of their own with a 1-1 result at Yankee Stadium on April 27. Orlando then upset NYC in the quarterfinals of Open Cup play, prevailing in penalty kicks 5-4 after the match ended in another 1-1 draw.
