Sebastian Perez - Colombia - tight shot

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

MLS could be the next destination for Colombia national team and Boca Juniors midfielder Sebastian Perez, according to a report from Argentine outlet Olé.

Perez has appeared in just 19 games for Boca since arriving from Atletico Nacional in his home country, where he won the 2016 Copa Libertadores title. He last featured for Boca during a May 2018 league match, spending portions of the last two seasons on loan at Liga MX side Pachuca and Ecuadorian club Barcelona.

The 27-year-old is reportedly under contract through the 2021 season, and plays predominantly in a deep-lying role. He’s earned eight caps with Colombia, including key roles at the 2016 Copa America and 2016 Summer Olympics.

Should Perez arrive in MLS, he’d be the latest Boca player to join the league. LA Galaxy forward Cristian Pavon is on loan from the Argentine powerhouse and Emanuel “Bebelo” Reynoso continues to be linked to Minnesota United. Galaxy head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto also managed Boca when Perez first joined from Atletico Nacional.
