Could Jesus Medina be swapping New York for Brazil?

Brazilian club Gremio have allegedly made an offer for the NYCFC midfielder, according to Paraguayan reporter Wilson Gonzalez. Medina is one of the club's two Designated Players, alongside Maxi Moralez, after Alexandru Mitrita moved on earlier this fall.

Medina, 23, is in his third season with NYCFC. He's enjoying a bounce-back campaign with four goals and two assists in 21 appearances after a disappointing 2019 season in which he made just six starts. All in all, Medina has 13 goals and 11 assists in 67 appearances (44 starts) for NYCFC.

Gremio are currently 8th in Brazil's top flight.

NYCFC, meanwhile, are preparing for their regular season finale against Chicago Fire FC on Sunday (3:30 pm ET | TV & streaming info). They currently sit fifth in the Eastern Conference and could finish as high as fourth.
