Goal of the Week

San Jose Earthquakes' Designated Player Innocent Emeghara nets Week 2 AT&T Goal of the Week honors

Innocent - Week 2 Goal of the Week winner

San Jose Earthquakes Designated Player Innocent Emeghara got his MLS career off to a roaring start with a game-winning golazo against the Seattle Sounders, and it's earned him the Week 2 AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award to boot.

Emeghara's twinkle-toed run and finish shocked CenturyLink Field last Saturday, and it edged out David Villa's historic strike in New York City FC's home opener for the top GOTW spot. Fanendo Adi (Portland Timbers) came in third, followed by Alan Gordon and Fabián Castillo.

Emeghara and his Quakes teammates will host the Chicago Fire for the historic debut of their new home, Avaya Stadium, on Sunday night (7 pm ET; Fox Sports 1, Fox Deportes, Fox Sports Go).
