Nick Rimando is in the lead of MLS Save of the Week voting for Week 28, but will it carry through for him to win the crown?
The Real Salt Lake goalkeeper leads the pack with 36.82 percent of the vote on the final day of voting. While it can't be confirmed, it seems the Sporting Kansas City voting bloc has been divided, with two goalkeepers, Jon Kempin (21.62 percent) and Tim Melia (15.38 percent), splitting middle America's vote. Meanwhile, Columbus' Steve Clark (17.48 percent) is in the middle of the pack at present, while Philadelphia's John McCarthy (8.7 percent) has some work to do to catch up and bypass the rest of the group.
Is it Rimando's title to lose, or will there be a late push by one of the other nominees to make it interesting?
Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of MLS Save of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here.
