Sporting Kansas City forward Krisztian Nemeth's good form has not gone unnoticed in his home country, as the club announced Wednesday that he had been called up by the Hungary men's national team for two matches in June.
The Hungarian team will play a home friendly on June 5 against Lithuania, followed by a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier against Finland on June 13.
"I am excited to be back with the national team for this very important qualifier," Nemeth said in a statement. "Every game is significant at this stage and I am proud to be a part of the squad to continue our qualifying campaign for the European Championship."

Nemeth leads Sporting with five goals this season, tied for second most among all MLS newcomers. Last week, he scored twice and added an assist in the team's 4-2 victory over New England at Sporting Park.
The 26-year-old will be looking to add to his 15 appearances and one goal for Hungary. He most recently represented the Central European nation in their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, scoring against Estonia.
Currently halfway through their Euro qualifying campaign, Hungary sit third in qualifying Group F with eight points through five games played. The top two teams in each group and the best third-placed team among all nine groups qualify automatically for next summer's tournament in France, while the remaining third-place teams will play off for the final four spots in the expanded, 24-team tournament.
Once considered a world soccer power with three Olympic gold medals (1952, 1964, 1968) and two runners-up finishes in the World Cup (1938, 1954), Hungary are looking to qualify for their first European Championship since 1972.
