Steven Gerrard didn’t walk alone in his MLS debut on Friday night, with the Liverpool legend wearing a bit of gear from his former club in the LA Galaxy’s 5-2 win against the San Jose Earthquakes.
Gerrard notched a goal and an assist and went the full 90 in LA’s Cali Clasico win, removing his shin guards after leveling the match at 2-2 in the first half to reveal that they had the Liverpool crest on them.
Taking off your shin guards in celebration isn’t quite a Robbie Keane cartwheel, but it sure is a start for the Galaxy's newest DP.
