A second Toronto FC academy product is headed to HB Koge on loan.

TFC announced on Friday that midfielder Noble Okello has been loaned to the Danish second division side, joining center back Rocco Romeo. Romeo has made three appearances for Koge so far this season.

"He's a player we feel like has a very bright future, but he's now 20. We need him to get some minutes," said Toronto head coach Greg Vanney during a Friday press conference. "The club in Denmark was really interested in him in a way that he was going to go there and be a big player for them in terms of minutes, in terms of expectation.

"...Noble's a player, if he stayed [in Toronto], he would've got some minutes for sure. But now he's got a chance to go get a good solid 12-plus games between now and the end of the year and then we can re-assess going into next year."

Okello, 20, signed with the Reds as a Homegrown Player on January 22, 2019, becoming the 19th player in club history to sign for the first team from the Toronto FC academy. Okello has made one appearance and played 22 minutes this season. He is currently behind Michael Bradley and Liam Fraser on TFC's defensive midfield depth chart.

Prior to joining Toronto FC, Okello spent three seasons with Toronto FC II and made 42 appearances.
