  • Sebastian Giovinco scored two goals and added an assist as Toronto FC snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 win against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday afternoon at BMO Field. Giovinco has now been involved in 33 goals this season (19 goals, 14 assists) – the MLS record for combined goals and assists in a single season in MLS history is 34 (Chris Wondolowski, 2012, 27 goals, 7 assists).
  • The teams are meeting for the second time this season. Shaun Maloney and Jeff Larentowicz scored second-half goals to lead the Fire back for a 3-2 victory April 4 at Toyota Park.
