Toronto FC vs. Orlando City SC
BMO FIELD, Toronto
August 5, 2015 (MLS Game #224)
8 pm ET (TSN, MLS LIVE)

A massive match in the chase for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference is ahead at midweek when Toronto FC and Orlando City SC meet for a second time this season, Wednesday evening at BMO Field. The teams are separated by just one point in the division, with Orlando City just outside the top six for postseason berths. TFC return home after seeing a three-game undefeated run come to an end in a 3-1 loss at New England, while Orlando City put an end to a three-game losing slide in a 5-2 win against Columbus Crew SC at the Citrus Bowl.

  • Cyle Larin scored two goals – tying the all-time single-season record for goals by a rookie – in Orlando City SC’s 5-2 win against Columbus at the Citrus Bowl. Larin, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2015 SuperDraft, now has 11 goals this season, tying the MLS rookie record set by Damani Ralph of Chicago in 2003 (and, both were products of the Univ. of Connecticut).
  • Jonathan Osorio scored his first goal of 2015, but TFC had their three-game undefeated run put to an end in a 3-1 defeat at the New England Revolution on Saturday.
  • The teams are meeting for the second time ever, and the first at BMO Field. Jozy Altidore scored a pair of goals in the second half to lead TFC to a 2-0 win April 26 at the Citrus Bowl.
