Toronto FC vs. Sporting Kansas City
BMO FIELD, Toronto
August 8, 2015 (MLS Game #226)
4 pm ET (TSN)

A matchup of teams sitting in prime position in each conference is ahead when Toronto FC plays host to Sporting Kansas City on Saturday afternoon at BMO Field. Toronto FC sit in a tie for third place in the Eastern Conference, kicking off a critical homestand at BMO Field with a 4-1 win against Orlando City SC at midweek. Sporting are firmly placed in fourth spot in the West, coming off a 1-1 home draw with the Houston Dynamo last weekend at Sporting Park.

  • Benny Feilhaber collected his 11th assist of the season – one off the MLS lead this season – but Sporting KC were hauled back into a 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo at Sporting Park. Over his last eight MLS games, Feilhaber has four goals and four assists; the draw extended SKC’s home undefeated streak to 11 games in league play, a club record.
  • Marky Delgado collected his second assist of the season in TFC’s 3-1 loss at New England. It gave Delgado two goals and two assists this season, all over a four-game stretch dating back to July 12; Delgado had two goals and two assists total in the first 40 games of his MLS career.
  • Sporting have a five-game undefeated streak alive vs. Toronto FC, dating back to the 2013 season. Last year, SKC won the final two meetings between the clubs – once at each ground – also playing to a draw in Kansas City.
  • Sporting have won on their last two trips to BMO Field, including a 2-1 win there last year. TFC have never won at Sporting Park. Sporting are undefeated in their last seven home meetings vs. TFC, with six wins and one draw in that time; Toronto FC’s lone win in Kansas City came in 2009 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.
