AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 20

The AT&T MLS Goal of the Week nominees for Week 20 are a veritable who’s who of Major League Soccer midfielders, with five of the league’s best represented for their classy strikes.

FC Dallas All-Star Fabian Castillo, Real Salt Lake’s Javier Morales, New York Red Bulls’ Sacha Kljestan, Vancouver Whitecaps’ Matias Laba and the New England Revolution’s Lee Nguyen are nominated for the award.

Castillo is nominated for his stoppage-time winner against D.C. United, a roofed finish over goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra that gave FCD a 2-1 victory. Morales, Kljestan and Nguyen are also in the running for game-winning goals, with Morales nominated for his stunning volley in RSL’s 2-0 win against Houston, Kljestan up for his long-range rocket in the Red Bulls’ win at Orlando and Nguyen in the field for his streak-snapping goal in the Revs’ 1-0 victory against NYCFC.

Laba is nominated for an equalizer, with his long-distance screamer in Vancouver’s 1-1 draw at Portland rounding out the group.
